Biography
Prof Tam is currently the Chair Professor of Biology in the Department of Biology and Chemistry and the Director of the Futian-CityU Mangrove Research and Development Centre, City University of Hong Kong. She has also been appointed as the Honorary Professors in different universities in Mainland. With more than 30 years of experience in conducting basic and mission-oriented applied research and development projects on biological waste treatment, bioremediation and mangrove ecology, she has published 300 SCI journal papers, 21 book chapters and written/edited 10 books, trained more than 30 PhD graduates. She has also served on organizing committees for several international conferences and has developed close connections with government, the private sector (environmental consultant companies) and local green groups.
