Bacterial Pathogenesis

Bacterial infections are being caused by pathogenic bacteria. This information includes human pathogenic bacteria.

Although most bacteria are beneficial or often harmless, some are pathogenic. One of the biggest bacterial diseases with the highest disease causes is tuberculosis, caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which kills about million people per year, mostly in Africa. Pathogenic bacteria also contributes to other diseases, such as pneumonia, which is caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
